The Book of Hebrews offers seven better things for the Christian that distinguish the faith of Jesus Christ from every religion in the world.

This is the first part of a discussion on the eight covenants God has established with the entire human race and to whom these various covenants specifically apply.
November 16, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
The law given to Moses and the Israelites could never save the soul and give eternal life. The sacrifices commanded in the law could only prefigure the sinless sacrifice of Jesus Christ in whom alone is salvation from sin, reconciliation with the Father, and eternal life.

The Book of Hebrews details seven particulars that are said to be “great,” all of which impact the believer’s salvation and walk with God.
November 13, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
The faith of Jesus Christ was never intended to be an amendment to Judaism. God has established a totally new and better covenant in Christ with every Jew and Gentile who places his faith in Jesus and has done away with the old covenant established under the law of Moses.

Because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the born-again Christian has instantaneous, direct access into the throne room of God in the true tabernacle located in heaven, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our access to God is not through a religion or a house of worship. Our access to God is the person of Jesus Christ.
November 9, 2025 am | Preacher: James Knox
The once-for-all sinless sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross provides mankind with the only means of direct access to the Father in heaven apart from any earthly priest who is tainted with his own sin, as are all men.
October 30, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
In comparing the Old Testament covenant of law with the New Testament covenant of grace we conclude that the eternal New Testament covenant of grace through our Lord Jesus Christ far exceeds and excels and now supersedes the temporal covenant of law which God Himself gave to the nation of Israel.
October 26, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
By His once-for-all sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ now fulfills both the office of a king and the office of the high priest to the extent that He has disannulled the efficacy of the sacrifices brought by the Levitical priesthood. The eternal priesthood of Jesus Christ, which is after the order of Melchisedec has done away with the temporal Levitical priesthood, which was after the order of Aaron.
October 26, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
The born-again believer is not only saved from the penalty of sin but also from the practice of sin. The indwelling Holy Spirit works in the believer to conform him to the sinless and holy image of Jesus Christ. The Christian’s duty in this process of sanctification is to eschew temptation and not yield to sin. Jesus’ duty in our sanctification is to intercede on our behalf before the Father in the event we do yield to sin.
October 12, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
Although Melchisedec pictures the priesthood of Jesus Christ, yet does the Lord far exceed Melchisedec in that Jesus is not only our high priest, but will also serve one day in the office of the King of kings ruling over all the Earth. Jesus Christ, our High Priest and our King.
October 5, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
The eternal priesthood of Jesus Christ supersedes the temporal priesthood of Aaron because Jesus rose from the dead and continues to serve as our intercessor as His Holy Spirit works in the believer to bring us unto perfection, that is, spiritual maturity.
October 5, 2025 am | Preacher: James Knox
The violent storms of life will come. The treacherous winds of strife will blow. But through every danger and distress, every Christian soul is permanently anchored in the rock, the Lord Jesus Christ, which holds fast to preserve that soul forever and bring the saved believer safely to his heavenly port.
October 2, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
Abraham’s foibles and failures could not keep God from fulfilling His promises to him, which God swore by an oath to fulfill. Because Abraham believed God, the Lord imputed eternal righteousness to him based on his faith, not conditional righteousness based on his works.

The faithful Christian labors to bring others to Christ and minister to their growth in the Lord for the glory of God. The Lord will surely reward such labor at the appropriate time.

September 25, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
Full assurance of one’s salvation in Christ is one of those benefits which accompanies the salvation of the Christian believer. Brother James addresses those who struggle with doubt and those who promote a works-based salvation.
September 21, 2025 pm | Preacher: James Knox
It is impossible for a believer to lose his salvation. For a saved person to seek to become saved again because he thought he lost his salvation is to put Christ to an open shame.
September 21, 2025 am | Preacher: James Knox
Just as God sends rain indiscriminately upon the righteous and the wicked, so the Christian should indiscriminately rain the good word of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ, upon every living soul we encounter.
